The close clustering of breweries in certain parts of the country has led to some pretty neat collaborations and ideas for getting people to check out what's happening n the local beer scene.
One of the simplest but most effective (and popular) in recent times has proven to be the hop-on hop-off brewery tour. This is where a bunch of breweries from the same area book a bus or three and punters spend the day looping around between the stops, enjoying the array of hospitality.
In the little pocket just south of Brisbane, the Helios, Slipstream and Ballistic breweries have done it with great success previously with their "Beermuda Triangle". But now they've got a new neighbour, the Hiker Brewing Concern, so the triangle has been busted.
So, the event is back under the shorter name "Beermuda", but it's still got everything you know and love, namely food, live music and more than 50 different beers to try.
The free shuttle buses will be running from 1pm-7pm between Helios, Slipstream, Ballistic and Hiker, so all you need to do is get yourself to a starting point brewery, then sit back and enjoy the ride.
