Get set for a happy, hoppy birthday party in Castlemaine as Shedshaker Brewing celebrate turning the grand old age of eight.
Unlike your average eight year old's party, they're dispensing with all the fairy bread and nasty soft drinks. Instead they're choosing to let the kitchen run riot with birthday specials and the release of a brand new hoppy birthday lager, the hops for which were picked by the Shedshaker team at a nearby Metcalfe farm.
In keeping with the retrospective pondering one's birthday tends to bring, they'll be turning the taproom into a gallery of sorts, full of images and artwork that tell the story of the past eight years, going from the original fit-out to the many memorable events, bands and good times that have been had.
The party is happening on April 25, with doors opening and the new beer tapped at midday.
