Spooning Goats, the central Sydney bar and precursor to Mixtape Brewing, was a 70's teenager's dream, packed with swivelling furniture in shades of mustard and brown, old school arcade games, and retro memorabilia. Ever present amongst all that was a Star Wars theme, hinting at the owners' love for the epic space-based adventures.
So, with May The Fourth (the unofficial intergalactic Star Wars Day) upon us, you can trust in Jason and Gabi to help you celebrate in the appropriate manner.
In short, they'll be screening the films, encouraging guests to come all dressed up in their finest Star Wars livery (there'll be prizes for the best), and they've brewed the following four special and delightfully punned beers for the occasion:
- Dark Helmet - Oatmeal Stout
- Jabba the Nut - Brown Ale
- Mando Calrissian - Mandarin IPA
- Red Lightsaber - Dragonfruit and Blueberry Pastry Sour
