Job Description: Experienced Brewer
We are on the hunt for an experienced brewer to join our expanding team down in Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula!
With new ownership and the growth of our brewing facility and newly installed centrifuge, we are after a passionate, skilled brewer, to work closely with our tight-knit team.
What you’ll do
- Production of wort on our 3-vessel brewhouse.
- Cellar operation including, CIP, yeast handling and running our GEA centrifuge.
- Running and assisting on our keg and CODI can pack line.
- Raw materials handling.
- Completing all necessary documentation, checks, and record-keeping on our beer.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Performing all work safely, and reporting any risks, hazards or incidents.
- Representing the business in the venue and at festivals, as required.
Who you are
- 2+ years experience in a commercial brewing role.
- Brewing qualifications are a distinct advantage.
- A passion for beer with a high mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
- A focus on the details – near enough is not good enough!
- Fanatical about cleaning, sanitation, and quality control.
- A demonstrated safety-first approach.
- Driver’s license, RSA and forklift license or a willingness to obtain in a short time.
- Mentally sharp and physically fit, being able to lift 25kgs.
- Self-motivated and ambitious, with a passion for learning.
- Positive, cooperative and communicative, with the ability to work independently and within a small team.
- Flexibility with working hours, between 6 am-7 pm Monday-Friday
- Right to work in Australia.
