With two breweries, a broad core range, the #tinnage series and a growing barrel program, there’s a whole lot of beer which comes out of Mornington Peninsula Brewery

If you want a hand in crafting all that beer, the brewery is looking to hire a senior brewer.

JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR BREWER

Mornington Peninsula Brewery is one of Australia’s top independent craft breweries.

We are looking for someone who has a real passion for beer and good knowledge of the craft beer industry. At least three years commercial brewing and packaging experience is essential.

You will have the opportunity to work with a great brewery and amazing people who value teamwork, quality and have a passion for the final product.

To be considered for the position you will have experience/skills in the following areas:

Main duties:

  • All tasks involved in the brewing process; milling, mashing, spent grain, kettle.
  • All tasks involved with kegging, canning and bottling – including maintenance.
  • Accurately follow SOP’s and understanding of specific beer process terminologies.
  • Operate both manual and computer automated equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitoring of individual batches and fermentation of individual tanks of beer.
  • Must be able to work hands-on at assisting and or leading each unit of operation as necessary.
  • Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with WH&S laws and accepted business ethics.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Strong level of brewing experience.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving; ability to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid forklift and driver’s licence.

An attractive remuneration package is on offer to the successful applicant.

This is a permanent full-time role. The brewery operates 7 days and therefore weekend work will be required.
