Breweries, bars, pubs and one of Melbourne's finest wedding venues.
Those small breweries have always felt collaborative too and over several years, the pocket of Melbourne has formally tied the knot with LoJo Festival which celebrates all things creative and delicious. For 2024, Bodriggy and Range have furthered that sense of community by the latter stepping out of their taproom and crossing the road to brew a beer with their neighbours.
Naturally, they decided to combine their core range hazy pales, Speccy Juice and Disco, to create Disco Juice. Before sharing recipes, the two beers already had a bit in common thanks to similar malt profiles and their use of Citra Hops. But to seal the separate beers together, the collaborators turned to Disco's Motueka and Speccy's Ekuanot Cryo, while adding an extra hoppy treat in the shape of a dry hop with Motueka Sub Zero Hop keif. It means that if you like Kiwi hop notes, then you've got plenty of them to enjoy with a raft of tropical tones including guava and sweet pineapple then joined by white grape, nectarine and mandarin.
