Advanced hop products like Cryo, Incognito and Spectrum have found a lot of favour among brewers for the way they get expressive hop notes into beer. Tallboy & Moose obviously can't stop at one either, having decided to showcase not one, but a trio of those hop liquids in one hazy IPA, Good Troop Part Deux. To be specific, the hazy IPA uses Cryo Idaho 7, Sabro Incognito and Eclipse Spectrum and as a result, it's heavy on the ripe tropical fruits, which lean a little towards pineapple and melon with a touch of stone fruit coming across too.
Also fresh from the brewery for winter is Mochaccino, a coffee milk stout that was brewed with cacao husks from the brewery’s fellow Melburnians at Mörk Chocolate. It’s certainly a stout for a Melbourne winter too, bringing together espresso, roasted barley and milk chocolate with a decent bitterness as if the cool cafe, chocolaterie and pub all merged into one.
