As part of his accident-delayed jaunt around Australia, Shane Welch of Sixpoint is dropping in Melbourne CBD restaurant Meatmaiden.
He'll be joined by the team from Nomad Brewing, the newly launched Sydney brewery that's a collaboration between Italy's Birra del Borgo and their Aussie importers at Experienceit.
They'll be serving small plates to go with the beers. According to the Meatmaiden team: "Not so much a food matching, more just tasty little dishes that will go down tremendously with the different offerings."
Those different offerings are:
- Sixpoint Little Buzz (golden/honey ale) with pork cracker, white anchovies & tomato
- Nomad Long Trip (saison) with sliced snapper ceviche, cucumber & crispy ginger
- Sixpoint Signal (IPA) with seared pork loin, chipotle, pickled carrots & chilli
- Sixpoint Righteous Ale (rye ale) with caramelised brisket, onion, mustard sauce
- Sixpoint Oyster Stout with blue cheese croute & smoked plum
In the words of the Meatmaidens: "Food will be great, beer will be great. And pretty darn good value for $50 we reckon. Should be a fun night."
