If you fancy raising a glass in remembrance this ANZAC Day, Murray's Brewing in Port Stephens has a doubly rewarding way in which to do it.
This year they've brewed a one-off beer to be released over the weekend, with the proceeds from its sale going to Mates4Mates, a not-for-profit charity which provides physical and psychological rehabilitation programs for current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) members who are wounded, injured or ill.
The beer itself is In Bloom, a wet hop IPA that features wet hops picked in Tasmania then air freighted overnight so they reached the brewery as fresh as possible. From there, the fresh hops were added all through the brewing process to produce as fresh and hoppy a beer as you could hope to find.
The brewery will host entertainment across the weekend, including brewery tours and a special menu from the kitchen.
The brewery will be open all ANZAC weekend from 10am until 6pm.
