After playing around with the recipe for a few weeks and trialling the beer at their Yarra Glen restaurant, Hargreaves Hill is sending its new Golden Ale out into the world.
To mark the occasion, they'll be holding a series of launches across the country. First up is one at Beer DeLuxe in Fed Square.
The beer is one that takes its lead from German Kolsch beers rather than the fruitier, hoppier style that many local golden ales opt for.
The Melbourne launch is on September 13, when a cask of Golden Ale will be ceremoniously tapped with free schooners from the cask from midday to 1pm.
A number of Hargreaves beers will be on tap, including ESB, Zenith IPA and Stout, and there will be live music too.
There will also be ceremonial tappings in the Yarra Valley, at the Australian Hotel in Sydney and at a venue TBC in Brisbane.
