After turing over their taps over to all things American for two weeks, for their next big beer event the team at Carwyn Cellars are featuring a brewery from... America!
To be entirely fair, it's not one that featured in their previous showcase, and it is a rather special little one which probably deserves its own spot in the limelight. So it is that from Friday July 29 through to August 7 they'll be showing off the beers from the farmhouse specialists from California: Almanac.
Almanac is a gypsy brewer that's famed for working with their local farmers and fruit growers to create beers that are unique and widely regarded as being of a very high standard. Precious little tends to leave the USA but Carwyn has managed to nab a whole shipment of kegs from Cali, which translates to the following 14 taps of goodness:
- IPA
- Apricot de Brettaville
- Elephant Heart de Brettaville (Elephant Heart plum sour)
- Saison Delores
- Ginger Gose
- Valencia Gold (Belgian Golden with oranges, orange blossom and honey)
- Hoppy Mosaic
- Hoppy Wakatu
- Emperor Norton (Belgian IPA with apricots)
- Farmer’s Reserve Citrus (Blonde sour with Buddha’s Hand citrons, yuzu and blood oranges)
- Vanilla Cherry Dogpatch
- Lavender Honey de Brettaville (with lavender, honey and oranges)
- Barbary Barrel Noir (Woodford Reserve Barrel aged imperial milk stout with chilli, cocoa, and sea salt)
- Cold Brew Coffee Barrel Noir
