Head to Hawkers as they roll up the doors to their brewery for a sneak peek at their 2016 Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.
The beer picked up a gold medal at the recent CBIA awards so is already living up to the promise of quality set by the rest of the Hawkers range (which, incidentally, all picked up medals at the AIBA and CBIA awards too).
The day will feature guided brewery tours, talks with the brewers, side by side samples of the imperial stout (one barrel aged, one not) as well as tasters of the brewery’s pale, pilsner, saison and IPA. There’ll be food, too, from Burn City Smokers and The Knafeh Bakery.
The tours will be on the hour, with the first at 1pm and the last at 7pm, and will have a maximum of eight people so you’ll need to pre-book a time slot.
if you want to take a bottle (or several) of the new imperial stout home with you, you can pre-buy anything from a single bottle to an eight pack to get you through the rest of winter and perhaps a couple more. The rest of the range will be available for takeaway too [with the usual 20% off cases for Crafty Cabal members].
