And that's pretty well what you get with the Ale Stars session at The Local Taphouse in Darlinghurst. With a different theme every month - usually a brewery, country or beer style, the event takes you on a happy, hoppy jaunt around all things beer, complete with food, quizzes and good banter.
September is offering up a real rare treat for Sydneysiders with Shawn Sherlock trekking down from the FogHorn Brewhouse to the Local Taphouse. His beers very seldom venture beyond the Newcastle brewpub, so to have four on tap in another town is an opportunity to grab with both hands.
