Back in 2023, Molly Rose ran a competition that pitted Melbourne suburbs – more specifically their drinkers – against each other in a good ol' fashioned "Ours is better than yours!" beer-off.
Teams got together at a bunch of top local beer bars around the city and came up with a recipe for a unique beer they reckoned best represented their home suburb. All the beers were brewed at Molly Rose, then the winner crowned at a special tasting event.
Once the confetti had time to settle, the plan was to brew and package the winning beer so it could be sent around Melbourne to claim eternal glory for the home suburb.
Well, that time has now come.
March 28 is the commercial launch of Stolen Lemons, a za’atar session IPA created by a group of beer lovers at Brunswick bar Miss Moses, which features lemons sourced from the trees around their 'burb.
This will be your first chance to try the scaled-up version of Stolen Lemons, and every time you buy a glass you'll get a raffle ticket to win a swag of Molly Rose gear, beer, vouchers, and a bottle-o tasting of the whole Molly Rose range.
The Miss Moses doors open at 4pm.
