On the face of it, Canada Day might seem a fairly tenuous occasion for a Camperdown brewery to be celebrating. But given two of Wayward's founders, Pete and Yvette, hail from the land of the maple leaf, we'll give them a pass. Besides, any chance to indulge in a new maple and red rum ale seems legit on any day in any country.
That new beer is a collaboration between Wayward and Bad Shepherd and it'll be pouring at said Canada Day party at the Wayward Taproom on July 3 (not to mention Bad Shepherd's own celebration).
Chef's Kitchen will be parked up in the alley and serving up Canadian food (take note, poutine lovers), the Caesar cocktails will be flowing and there'll be live music too.
So crack out your toques, flannel shirts and hockey jerseys and get amongst it, eh.
