Deep In The Weeds Festival 2022 at Sailors Grave

Free yourself from the drudgery of the everyday and get lost in deliciousness as the Deep In The Weeds festival returns to East Gippsland for 2022.

Hosted at the old Orbost butter factory – also know as the home of Sailors Grave Brewing – you'll be able to tuck into a long weekend of unique beer, mouthwatering food and live music.

Here's how things are shaking down:

Festival launch: July 8

The official pre-festival preview takes place at The Marlo Hotel and will feature a mini Sailors Grave tap takeover accompanied by live music to get you in the mood for the festival proper. No tickets are required, so just turn up and have some fun.

Deep In The Weeds festival: July 9

The main event kicks off at 2pm with Sailors Grave and their good mates from Bodriggy Brewing launching a night of weird and wonderful beers at the brewery.

There'll be a full live music lineup that will feature Exek, Birdsnake, Sledgehammer, Timothy Wolf and Timepoor, plus DJ sets from Mike Wale, Floss Dogg, Sophuli and Dr Condiments.

Meatsmith Melbourne will be taking care of the food, so you're in very good hands – vegetarians included. [Pro tip: to avoid FOMO, grab one of the meal options when booking your festival ticket].

Sunday Bloody Sunday: July 10

Head back where it all started, The Marlo Hotel, from 9am-3pm and recover from/reminisce about the night before with a little help from local legends Flat Bikkie who'll be serving up breakfast burgers and coffee, Big Bears Donuts and their beery doughnut collaboration, and a touch of live acoustic music. Entry is free.

If, as is a distinct possibility, you're coming from further afield and not wanting to drive all the way to Orbost, buses will be running from Bairnsdale and Marlo – get more info from the booking website below.
