Given they launched with a German-trained brewer at the helm and have a reputation largely built upon traditional German-style beers, you just know that when Oktoberfest rolls around you're in very safe hands with Burnley Brewing.
From September 16 to October 7, the Richmond brewery will celebrating their fifth Oktoberfest by turning their taproom into a Bavarian bier hall, with all the necessary colour, accoutrements, German food and bell-ringing.
There'll be a veritable glut of Reinheitsgebot-friendly beers for your enjoyment, with a whopping 13 of them on tap, including six collaborations with local brewers Mountain Culture, Range, Sailors Grave, Seeker, Shapeshifter and Sobremesa.
In further good news, they're also be bringing back their Zusammenarbeiten ("working together") mixed packs: a 16-can collection showcasing the collaborative brews, plus a few of their own. These will be available from September 16.
And if you've got some lederhosen or dirndl lurking at the back of your wardrobe, wear it to the opening night, or any Saturday during the festivities, and you can score a free pint.
