In times like these where every glimpse of the news seems to represent further descent into an endless pit of gloom, it's probably fair to suggest that we could all do with a bit more light and laughter in our lives.
If that's you, Temple Brewing has the remedy as they prepare to launch a series of stand-up comedy nights at their East Brunswick home – and they're all free.
The first event is happening on April 25 and will feature rapid-fire sets from a whopping ten local comedians. Meanwhile, the bar will be doing its bit to lubricate the laughing gear as they serve up tasty drink specials.
At this point, sessions are scheduled to be held monthly but if they get an enthusiastic turnout for this first edition they'll look at making it a fortnightly occurrence. So, turn up, enjoy the laughs and good vibes, and you may be rewarded with an extra dose!
Doors are at 7pm and the laughs start at 8pm.
