It'll be a very hoppy birthday in Five Dock as the Akasha team get busy celebrating the brewery's ninth birthday.
In doing so, they'll be launching this year's edition of the big and boozy fan favourite triple IPA, Wooden Leg, which will be getting its first pour at a brewer's shout on April 26. Then, from midday on April 27 they'll kick on with $6 schooner specials and $16 jugs all weekend, plus beer garden games, food specials, and a live DJ from 3pm.
Meanwhile, over at The Barrel Room in Leichhardt they'll be dishing up burgers, rolls and loaded fries with some extra special birthday beer-infused items on the menu (Wooden Leg wings, anyone?).
