The Australian Brewery brews one of the finest pilsners in the country and there's little else that needs to be said when it comes to Feral's proficiency in the hop department. So it's more than a little exciting to know that they've come together for a one-off collaboration: the Storm Trooper Imperial Pilsner.
The 8.1%, East-West collaboration is a beer many months in the planning, with Feral's Brendan Varis and The Aussie's Neal Cameron both rather busy individuals in the beer world outside of their own breweries, but made it has been and it'll be launched on the auspiciously Star Wars-ian date of May the 4th.
The beer gets a simultaneous tapping at 5pm across three cities...
- Sydney: The Local Taphouse Darlinghurst
- Melbourne: The Local Taphouse St Kilda
- Brisbane: Brewski
...before being released in kegs and cans in the ensuing days at a handful of good beer venues.
