It's been two years since the Quarryman's Hotel reopened with 26 taps and instantly put Pyrmont on the beer map. During that time they've been big supporters of local brewers, brought in stacks of interstate beers not seen at other venue and even picked up a gong for having Sydney's best beer list.
For their second birthday, Saturday 29 August, they're teaming up with locals Young Henrys on a Tap Takeover. This will include a new collaboration between the venue and brewer, the proceeds of which will all go to the NSW Cat Protection Society, as will the proceeds of an auction during the day. Why the feline theme, you ask? For that you can thank the Q's resident rescue cat, Hopsy.
As well as the beer, they're inviting a bunch of talented musicians in to keep the good vibe going and a pig will be spun on a spit to keep you sustained.
