The team at Pirate Life certainly has a lot to celebrate these days, from picking up the Best Commercial Brewery award at the Perth Royal Beer Show to having three beers in the top 11 of the Hottest 100 Beers of 2015 poll. And they're not even a year old.
However, on Sunday March 6 they will be and, to celebrate, they're heading to the Gilbert Street Hotel for a suitably epic party and eight – yes, eight – beer tap takeover, featuring the following:
- IPA – NEW
- Session IPA
- Pale
- Double IPA
- EDA (El Dorado Ale)
- NZ Pale (collaboration with Hopco)
- Vietnamese Saison (collaboration with Madam Hanoi)
- Cerveza Negra (Tempranillo Barrel) Spanish Dark Ale (collaboration with Tom Foolery wines)
The street will be blocked off where the party will run – helping along by a Can Bar – from midday until 8pm before things head upstairs until the wee small hours. Bands will be playing from midday then DJs thereafter.
There'll be a teppanyaki bar and a couple of pigs on a spit and street artists to keep you fed and cultured, respectively.
Get along and party like a pirate.
