It's been a big few months at Hawke's Brewing and with a production brewery now firing and a hospitality arm set to open soon, they're looking for a head of finance to join the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION: HEAD OF FINANCE
Hawke’s has a fully operational Brewery with a capacity of 1.4ML and is poised to open its hospitality arm in early 2022, it’s time to recruit a full-time Head of Finance to lead and drive the financial function and provide decision support for the multiple business units.
Financial services has historically been performed by Bourke Group, a founding partner and investor in Hawke’s Brewing Co.

More specifically, the key responsibilities of the role include:
Position Description
A Head of Finance is responsible for the management of a team to deliver budget planning, business case development, and supporting the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. This position will be taking strategic direction from the CEO & CFO across the three key functions of the business; wholesale, manufacturing and hospitality. This Role has the potential to develop into a more senior leadership role within the business in line with business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the integration of finance, operations and the associated IT systems at a Business unit and head office level
- Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted
- Broad Scope of F, P & A duties across all business functions
- Developing & Monitoring Business Unit Budgets, Financial Reports
- Assisting Executive Managers to financially model and develop both short and long-term strategic and business plans
- Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost and risk reduction opportunities
- Analysing market trends and competitors, providing advice to Executive Managers
Qualifications and Requirements
As Head of Finance you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the company's transactions.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance or related field;
- Professional certification in accounting – CA, CPA or CFA will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated Experience in areas of key responsibilities above
- Natural talent for people leadership;
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to prioritise tasks by importance
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationships;
- Forward-thinking ability to work under pressure and with deadlines;
- Able to resolve problems and conflicts and a professional and tactful manner;
- Exceptionally high level of honesty, integrity, commitment, and responsibility;
