Job Description: Bar Manager
The newly formed Local Drinks Collective of Batch Brewing and Wayward Brewing are looking to add to our team and in particular, we are searching for someone to take over the running of our bar down in the Darling Square precinct.
Situated in the heart of the Maker’s Dozen building just near the Aware Super Theatre, we're predicting a big summer thanks to some big concerts and events coming up over the warmer months in the area. We're currently open six days a week and the latest close time is 10pm which is pretty ideal.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Across ordering and keeping the range fresh and current from the best Australian and New Zealand brewers, distillers and winemakers
- Able to lead a small team
- All over their stock control
- Has extensive product knowledge of beers primarily, but also wine and spirits
- Is community focused, looking to build rapport with our locals and regulars as well as the other vendors in the building
- Is keen to help continue to develop the direction of the greater business
The role would be full-time salaried within the Local Drinks Collective group, with options in the future to move between venues and upwards within the business. You'd be reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the managers from other venues within the group to help all our venues succeed.
