JOB DESCRIPTION: VENUE MANAGER
Malt Brewing Co is a brewery based in the riverside suburb of Bulimba in Brisbane.
A working brewery with a wood fired pizza kitchen, our passion is beer, pizza and people. We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable, passionate and dedicated Brewery (Venue) Manager to join our team.
We are a small but strong team who work hard, but always have a laugh and enjoy what we do. If you are an experienced Manager who can lead a great team, with a fun, positive and proactive approach, this is the role for you!
What is the role?
- Representing Malt Brewing Co. beers with a knowledge of our brewing process, ensuring our customers enjoy every minute at our brewery!
- Management of front of house ensuring the venues presentation and bar procedures are maintained and followed to the highest standard
- Recruit, train and manage staff
- Staff rostering and providing your team with a positive culture where you lead by a strong example
- Venue event management and operation, including function bookings and special occasion events which may be at other venues
- Cash handling, reconciliation, stock control and management with the ability to meet budgets and control expenditure
- Effective communication and team work with kitchen and brewing team and ability to report effectively
- Bar and venue inventory management and ordering
- Organise venue and equipment maintenance and repairs as necessary
Skills and experience
- Prior venue management experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and train others
- Friendly, approachable and proactive
- Current RSA
- High attention to detail with an ability to work quickly & prioritise tasks
- A team player who is happy to work with a small team and assist others if they need a hand
