Posted January 30, 2018

This posting is more than 1 year old

Since launching in 2014, Sydney gypsy brewer Shenanigans has carved out a reputation for creating some of the city's most interesting and most loved beers. To date the business has been the epitome of a two man band, but founders Sam and Dan are now preparing to bring on their first ever employee. So, if you're keen on joining them as a Sydney based sales rep to help get their beer into more places and grow the brand, read on...

Job Description: Sydney Sales Representative

Shenanigans Brewing is looking for a sales representative to join our (very) small team, to help us get our experimental and creative brews into the hands of more people around Sydney. The role will initially be part-time, with a view to grow into full-time.

You’ll get direct contact with and support from the founders and brewers, and be on a weekly base retainer plus commission. The role will include establishing relationships with new customers, maintaining / expanding some existing accounts, conducting in-store tastings and liaising with venues to organise events.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about good beer, has a sound knowledge of beer styles, the brewing process and ingredients.
  • Is familiar with our range and is a fan of what we do.
  • Knows the industry well. Maybe you’ve worked behind the bar or at a bottle shop, or maybe you’re just an avid punter that has your finger on the pulse around town but you’ll need to understand how on and off-premise sales work. Sales experience is not required but the right attitude and personality is.
  • Has a current driver's license, vehicle and current NSW RSA.
  • Is happy to set their own hours and work towards set goals. Some weekend and evening work will be required, with most sales work usually early in the week.

Duties include

  • Visiting potential new customers (keg and packaged product), dropping off samples, talking to venue managers and making initial sales.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers, including product / tap presentation and placement, customer education and in-store tastings.
  • Sending orders through to our delivery guys, and invoices through to customers via Xero.
  • Managing sales with respect to existing stock levels and upcoming releases.
  • Organising events with on-premise venues, including tap takeovers, new release events, meet the brewer, beer/food pairings, etc.

If you’d like to join the Shenanigans team to take on this role, please send through your CV as well as a bit of information about yourself to sales@shenanigansbrewing.com.
