Southern Highlands Brewing Coffee Porter

Roughly the same distance from the Highlands Taphouse as the Southern Highlands brewery – just in the other direction, you'll find Coffee Culture: a roastery that calls the town of Bowral home. Here, in the spirit of local indie businesses coming together and collaborating, they've been asked to contribute a hit of coffee to a porter.

They seem to have done so in a pretty relaxed manner, with the coffee coming across more sweetly and smoothly than in some such beers, snuggling up to the base porter's chocolate to create something reminiscent of a mocha. There's a faint hint of mint within the aroma too, before things head into dark chocolate laced with dried figs territory.
