We signed off our beer club events for 2022 in the company of Hawkers founder Mazen Hajjar, who created a barrel room experience at their Reservoir brewery for a walk through more than five years of barrel-aged beers.
It was such a great evening, he promised we'd do it again – so we are.
On December 15, we're heading back to Henty Street for a second Barrel-Aged Masterclass, but with a difference.
Whereas in 2022, the focus was on exploring the Hawkers back catalogue with a series of vertical tastings, this time around the focus is on their releases.
There will be a flight featuring this year's barleywines, another centred on their more unusual barrel-aged releases, some imperial stouts, and a tasting of the beers aged in the brewery's prized barrels from Willett Distillery.
We'll be putting on platters of delicious cheese and accoutrements too, with proceedings kicking off at 6.30pm.
