Everyone loves a "locals done good" story, and you'd have to say that Blackman's is a cracker. Since opening their Torquay brewery a decade ago, the family-run brewery has been on an upward and outward rise that's seen them taking out a Champion Brewery trophy and spread their delicious footprint across multiple venues. And all of it, of course, is on the back of some great people, hard work and damn fine beer.
So, to celebrate their tenth birthday they're inviting all comers of all shapes, sizes and ages to gather together so they can say, simply, "Thanks".
The party is happening on July 27, kicking off at midday with a family-friendly afternoon that'll include face painting, marshmallows, mini golf and live music.
From 5pm the adults take over with the launch of Hang 10 IPA (the official tenth birthday beer), old fav Angry Reg, retro throwback Old School Mervyn, mulled Winnie cider, a bonfire under the stars, and DJs spinning into the night.
