Timed nicely to celebrate a tenth year of brewing at their Murwillumbah home, the team from Stone & Wood are preparing to host their annual and much-loved Murbah Open Day.
What is it? Well, on August 3 the doors to the normally out-of-bounds production brewery will be thrown open to welcome locals, family, friends, well-wishers and anyone else in the community for a day of live music, food trucks, market stalls, behind-the-scenes brewery tours and loads of fresh, fresh beer.
It's a family-friendly event so kids are welcome and will be well entertained with the famous 'Malt Disney' children's area occupying the little ones with arts and crafts and games while you do the adulting.
Gates will be open from 11am until 5pm, with entry via a gold coin donation. All proceeds and profits will go to the Wedgetail Retreat which provides free palliative care to the Northern Rivers community.
Regular bus transfers will be available to and from locations around Murwillumbah and Tweed. These cost just $5 each way but bookings are essential, so check the S&W website for routes and updates.
