Aside, perhaps, from pouring the former on the latter, it's difficult to think of a scenario in which the combination of fresh beer and vintage sound systems isn't going to result in everyone within earshot having a great time.
So it will be at 3 Ravens on July 27 as they host a free party in their new warehouse space to christen New Flower Sound System, a Melbourne based producer/refurbisher of high-fidelity vintage audio sound systems designed for that lush '70's JBL concert vibe.
To show what they and their gear are capable of, they'll have concocted a mighty eclectic playlist with an Afro-Latin bent; think anything from heavyweight dub and reggae to Latin jazz, cumbia and kompa. Add to that a lengthy lineup of local DJs including JNETT, Clarity Sound, Lay Down The Groove, Slim Shady, General Feelings, Milfort B2B Luis Lopez, and the groove will be ceaseless.
3 Ravens will be serving up their fine beers (with happy hour pricing from 7-9pm), while Super Norma will be slinging house-made pasta boxes.
And, happily, entry is free.
