If you're partial to a dunkel, schwarzbier, rauchbier, caffienated dark lager or any other moody take on a classic lager, Brightstar Brewing has an event that'll rock your grain bill.
Their much-loved Dark Lager Fest is returning to Thebarton on August 9-11, with guest indie brewers from around South Australia and Victoria all contributing something to the dark side: beer is confirmed to be coming from the likes of Burnley Brewing, Devilbend Farm Beer Co., Molly Rose, Penny Red Brewing, Sailors Grave and SixTwelve Brewing.
The lagers will be getting tapped from midday on August 9 and will be on til they're gone – and given some of these are limited releases, you won't want to muck about.
All weekend long they'll be dishing up a special food menu with dishes either featuring dark lager, or made to pair perfectly pair with your chosen beer.
And besides the beer they'll have the Quiz Meisters Survey Says (August 9, 7pm), Vinyl DJ Es’ay (August 10, 4-7pm), and acoustic music from Leo Z (August 11, 2-5pm)
