When fancy dinners feature brewers and winemakers, things can get a bit competitive as each side of the table argues the case for why their particular booze is indisputably the best. But it'll be a bit different at the Akasha Barrel Room as they take a more inclusive and complementary approach to the dining experience.
On August 2 they're hosting Barrel To Bottle, a feast that's set to match four courses of fine food to a range of Akasha beer and wine from the Hunter Valley's Margan Wines (yes, that's one beer and one wine with each course). The respective brewers and winemakers will be on hand to guide you through what will be an eclectic flavour matching experience, share their stories and expertise, and no doubt spin some good yarns.
Tickets to the feast are $85 which includes all your food and libations.
