It was almost four years ago that the Australian Brewery kicked off a surge in canned craft beer for independent brewers when they launched their unique slimline range at the end of 2012. But times change and so do tastes and they recently decided to give their packaging a bit of a shake-up, flicking a few levers and changing a few screws on their canning machine so it now spits out the classic style tinnies.
And they're having a party to celebrate the official launch.
It will be done on August 11 at Bitter Phew alongside a Tap Showcase of the best, brightest and newest to come from the Rouse Hill brewery. They'll also be bringing in a bit of food to share around, courtesy of their own chefs who have created canapés to pair with the beers.
Things kick off officially at about 6pm.
