If they needed an excuse for a celebration down at the Pikes Beer Company, January 26 would appear to be a rather good day on which to do it. Not only is it Australia Day but it's also the brewery's second birthday.
As such, they'll be throwing the doors open to friends, family, well wishers and anyone else that fancies coming along for some good beer, good wine, good food and good music.
The cellar door will be dispensing freshly brewed beer and the odd glass of Reisling, while local chefs from Terroir Auburn will be cooking up a storm. There'll be acoustic tunes from Joe Keain before something a little more upbeat from Adelaide band The Uptown Seeds. Get in early to stake out a prime place on the lawn for the day (and it might pay to bring a picnic blanket).
Tickets are just $10 which gets you a drink on arrival. Advancing bookings are recommended and you can do that here.
