Job Description: Brewer/Venue Manager
These opportunities don't come around every day! Phillip Island Brewing are looking for a brewer to join them with the combined role including a venue management position.
Currently, we're about to install a brewery of our own and renovate a taproom, which gives you the chance to be involved from the ground up, be creative while also brewing our well-regarded lineup of beers.
Brewing:
- Ideally you'll have at least three years of brewing experience and been involved in start up breweries
- You'll have managed all aspects of the brewing operations from tank to tap
- A strong track record in maintaining quality, consistency and creativity
- You'll be a team player and enjoy mentoring and educating other team members
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to challenges
- A formal brewing education is welcome, though not required if you have significant practical experience
Venue Management:
- Experience in venue management
- Management of the guest experience and continually looking for opportunities to improve that experience.
- Management of our web store and merchandising
- Contribute to a culture of care and safety in the taproom for both team and guests
- An eye for detail, ensuring venue presentation is always at a high standard
- A business mindset that is always thinking of new ways to engage with the community to generate trade for the taproom and to keep our loyal customers coming back
- Participating as a member of the senior management team in business planning
