Six String Brewing Co is an established craft brewery on the NSW Central Coast and a recognisable brand across the region. Over the past 11 years, we've grown exponentially and are now ready to expand into a new, larger site. This new location boasts a greater seating capacity, a live music space, and a host of exciting new opportunities. We are seeking a dedicated Taproom/Venue Manager to lead the charge in getting our new venue ready for opening and manage its ongoing operations.

About Us: Six String Brewing Co is an independent brewery located in Erina. Our small but passionate team collaborates closely to produce high-quality beverages enjoyed both locally and across the state, including QLD. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, inclusive, and relaxed taproom environment where locals and visitors to the coast have an opportunity experience and learn about craft beer and brewing through bookable experiences and chatting to staff. Our new site will significantly upscale our taproom, it includes seating for 150, restaurant and an event and live music space to host regular functions and enhance our community engagement.
The Role:
The ideal candidate will possess venue management and leadership experience, with additional experience in event management or live music events being a plus. This role offers a unique challenge in establishing a new taproom experience, building a team, and implementing systems and procedures to ensure a successful opening. The successful applicant will not only be an experienced hospitality operator with a passion for customer service and team management but will also bring creative ideas to help the venue reach its full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Venue Setup and Activation: Lead the setup and activation of the new space, including building a team, creating and implementing systems, and establishing procedures to ensure a smooth and successful opening.
- Venue Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the taproom, ensuring a high standard of service and customer experience.
- Staff Management: Handle all aspects of staff management, including rostering, recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Event Coordination: Work alongside our event team to plan and execute events including beer dinners and live music performances
- Stock Management: Manage inventory and POS systems efficiently
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of care and safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations for both staff and guests.
- Venue Presentation: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue.
- Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to engage with the local community, drive foot traffic, and retain loyal customers.
- Business Planning: Participate as a member of the senior management team, contributing to business planning and strategic initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in venue management
- Proficiency in using stock management and POS software
- Strong leadership skills with experience in staff management
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for hospitality and craft beer
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and creative mindset for business development
