Job Description: Venue Manager
We're hiring for both of our Sydney venues – Five Dock/Leichhardt
Akasha Brewing Company was founded in 2015 and has developed a reputation for producing some of the country’s favourite beers. We live by the statement, ‘Great beer is our everything’, crafting high quality, hop-forward and consistently fresh beer that have won numerous awards and earned us the status as one of Australia’s most popular independent breweries.
Over the past 12 months, we have significantly invested in and improved upon our hospitality offering. We now have two distinct venues in Sydney – The Akasha Taproom in Five Dock and the Barrel Room by Akasha in Leichhardt – and are constantly looking to improve upon the experience we are creating for our customers. With that in mind, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Venue Manager to oversee operations in both our Taproom and Barrel Room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, a passion for craft beer, and the ability to lead a team in delivering outstanding customer service.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, well-rounded and eager individual to join and help lead our small, passionate team as we aim for our biggest year yet.
Our ideal Venue Manager will be/have:
- Previous supervising experience in the hospitality industry and a valid RSA certificate
- General Knowledge of Back Office and Point-Of-Sale procedures
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to recruit, train and supervise front-of-house staff, while also working closely with our Chef in delivering an excellent product
- Maintain and improve venue aesthetic, creating the ultimate Akasha experience
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to monitor financial performance, including budgeting, revenue generation, and cost control measures to achieve profitability targets
- Passion for great beer!
