Nillumbik Cellars have long been one of the best places in Melbourne's north east to buy craft beer from (not to mention wine and spirits).

They're currently looking for a head of craft beer to join them fulltime in Diamond Creek. 


Job Description: Head of Craft Beer 

Nillumbik Cellars, part of the Di Pietro Family of businesses, is one of the largest Independent Wine, Spirits & Craft Beer retailers in Australia. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Head of Craft Beer to join our team at our busy retail store and head office in Diamond Creek, Victoria.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Craft Beer Sales Assistant & Enthusiast with previous liquor industry experience, a drive for excellence, a passion for sharing knowledge about products, and a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will enhance our clients' experience both in-store and online, working independently and as part of a team to achieve the business's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service & Sales
  • Collaborating between our two locations on inventory and product selection
  • Stock Handling
  • Online Order Fulfilment (Shopify experience is favourable)
  • Online Site Updates
  • Newsletters & Digital Marketing Campaigns
  • Building & Maintaining Supplier Relationships
  • Inventory Control & Rotation
  • Following Craft Beer news with a drive for first-to-market knowledge and offerings
  • Premix & Cider ranging
  • Organising Tastings & Events
  • Administrative Tasks

Required Attributes:

  • Liquor industry experience
  • Exceptional Customer Service & Communication Skills
  • Positive Can-Do Attitude
  • Ability to work in a Team Environment
  • Professional Presentation & Appearance
  • Competence with Computers (Mac/PC - Mail, Word, Mailchimp, Creative Suite; Shopify experience is favourable)
  • Availability for weekend and evening work

Additional Information:

  • This role is strictly for persons over 18 years of age.
  • A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is required, but it is not a prerequisite to apply.
