Artisan Brewing make beer across WA and focus on crafting award-winning Belgian-style beers. 

They're looking for a head brewer to join them and lead all things beer making. 


Job Description: Head Brewer

Artisan Brewing is a small family-owned gypsy brewing company that operates throughout WA. We are a multi-award winning Champion Small Brewer focused on producing high quality Belgian-style beers. 

We brew a range of fine ales and lagers with quality-first approach to flavour and style. Our unprecedented growth over the last 4 years has led us to the expansion of our core team.

The position is based mainly in the Swan Valley, Perth, WA. But travel will be required when other breweries come online throughout WA. This role includes all aspects of beer production over the several breweries that we operate from. 

The role involves:

  • Brewing, packaging, and cellar operations
  • Superior attention to quality and sanitation
  • Actively work on the Continuous Improvement of the brewing process
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and enhancements
  • Festival, events, evenings, and weekend work may be required

The best dynamic and capable candidates will have:

  • A positive work attitude toward variable working environment
  • A self-starter and ability to work with a team or on your own
  • Advanced IBD qualifications, or equivalent brewing studies/education 
  • Experience on multiple types of brewing systems, configurations, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a production brewery
  • Knowledge of Belgian Beer, Barrel-aging, and flavour profiles
  • Ability to develop, enhance, and further improve on recipe design
  • Experience with Yeast handling, management, and reuse
  • Knowledge of beer dispense systems, cleaning, and troubleshooting
  • Valid Forklift license, RSA, and Australian driver’s license.
  • Possess a deep understanding of all aspects of brewing science and packaging
  • High level troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment operation
  • Willingness to learn and communicate
  • Right to work in Australia and excellent command of English
