Brisbane Brewing Co and Brewhouse Brisbane are two established members of the Queensland capital’s vibrant and rapidly expanding craft beer scene. The brewery at the former supplies both venues as well as other bars in the city with a diverse and ever-changing lineup of beers.
To keep those beers flowing, the West End brewery is looking for a brewer to join the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION: EXPERIENCED BREWER
Brisbane Brewing Co is seeking an experienced brewer to join our brew team of three people. As our second brewer, you’ll be answerable to the head brewer and be supported by a brewer’s assistant.
About us:
- West End (QLD) based brewery
- Established 13-year-old family-owned business
- 12HL system, 2-3 x 12HL brews/week
We are a retail brewery primarily supplying draught beer to two busy venues (Brisbane Brewing Co in West End and Brewhouse Brisbane in Woolloongabba). Our kegs are also sold to selected local Brisbane craft beer venues on an ongoing basis.
You’ll be producing a variety of staple beers as well as numerous small batch brews, specialty and seasonal beers, collaboration brews and an exciting barrel-aging program. We also participate in GABS, AIBAs and other craft beer events.
The details:
- $50,000 (+ Super 9.5%) – negotiable
- Full Time Hours, 4 days/week
- Minimum 1 year commercial brewing experience required.
- Formal Brewing qualifications a bonus.
