If you've only come across SURE's 100% and 200% Dynamight – West Coast IPA an double IPA respectively – you'd be forgiven for thinking 300% Dynamight was some double digit hop-laden beast. Yet, while it certainly brings plenty of hops to the party, the colour of the rock guitarist cans is no accident.
The rusty-hued red IPA sees the team once again plunder the US when it comes to hops – Citra, Strata and El Dorado – and their tropi-citrus impact is present, but it's arguably the toffee brittle flavours that are the defining feature here. As is often the case in such beers, the specialty malts elicit some red berries from the hops too, while proceedings build to a bitterness bolshy enough to ensure any sweetness is nipped in the bud.
