Hard Road Brewing Little Ludwig Lager

When making their pick from the world's classic beer styles to make up their core range, Hard Road plumped for the lager-brewing heartland of Bavaria when it came to choosing their lager. They brew a Ludwig lager too, which is (obviously) bigger in ABV than this one, with Little Ludwig a highly-sessionable 4.2 percent ABV.

That said, it doesn't skimp on body, with this all-German hops and malt affair nicely full and rounded. Gently sweet grainy malts sit alongside an easy-going floral hop character and a bitterness that’s charged with doing no more than offering balance.
