Ale Stars has long been an institution at The Local Taphouse in St Kilda. Every month, for many years, its stage has showcased some of the best beers, brewers and beer people from across the Australia – and the world. And there’s no sign that it’s slowing down.
The July 2017 edition is focused on a loosely cobbled together group of beers rather than the brewers that made them. The Ale Stars will be working their way through five dark, strong and generally bold beers from around the world, as follows:
- Weihenstephan – Korbian Doppelbock
- Feral – Barrique O'karma - Barrel Aged India Black Ale
- Bridge Road – (Bar Series) Shrooms of Doom Double Umami Stout
- Stone Brewing – RIS 2016
- Mountain Goat – Barrel Breed Barley Wine
Tickets are just $40 which gets you all the beer, some food, good banter and a generally enjoyable evening out.
