Help Van Dieman Pick Their Homegrown Hops (TAS)

Fancy getting covered in sticky, smelly stuff that can be a pain to remove?

Of course you do when that sticky, smelly stuff is the goo from the hop cones you'll be pulling from the bines of the Tatchell family farm in Evandale, aka Van Dieman Brewing.

They're going to harvest this year's crop, which will be used in their Estate Ales, on March 4 and are recruiting an army of hop pickers.

It kicks off at 10am and pickers are advised to bring a long sleeved shirt, a hat and something to sit on.

Children are welcome, but no pets. Depending on numbers, they hope to have picking done within three to four hours.

They'll be providing a small lunch and beverages, although advise you may wish to bring snacks.

If you'd like to be there, drop Will Tatchell a line at will@vandiemanbrewing.com.au.
