Anyone paying attention to what's been going on at Thornbury's 3 Ravens over the past couple of years will have noticed things have been evolving apace: new beers, more barrel ageing and mixed fermentation and so on.
And now perhaps the biggest evolution of the lot is coming as Melbourne's longest established independent breweries launched a new core – or, as they're calling it, "CAW" range.
The look of the new trio of beers is currently under wraps but what we can tell you is the lineup will feature three pale and hop forward beers: a Tropical Pale Ale, an Australian Pilsner and a New World IPA. And all will be in cans.
You're invited to join them for the launch on May 4, when the brewery bar will be open from 3pm, with brewers on hand for a chat between 5pm and 6pm and cans of the CAW range on offer for $5 a pop.
