New beers, new format, new artwork – after months in the making and brewing, the Wayward range has had an overhaul and will henceforth be strutting about in tinnies that’ll have you drifting wistfully into dreams of the golden age of travel and adventure.
The new / new look core canned range is made up of the Pilsner, Everyday Ale, Raspberry Berliner Weisse (formerly Sourpuss) and IPA (formerly Oatis) and they're being launched at bars and bottleshops from Friday October 12, with special events being held in NSW, VIC and QLD.
Melbourne
Carwyn Cellars – October 12
They'll be cracking a few cans in celebration with a bottle shop tasting, plus $5 tinnies and Wayward seasonal releases on tap at one of the finest beer bars in the land.
Sydney
Public House Petersham – October 13
Be at the PHP for a pop-up Wayward beer garden, $5 tinnies, games, DJs and food specials.
Brisbane
Tippler's Tap – October 18
Crush a can of the new beers for $6 a piece, try Wayward seasonal releases on tap and indulge in food specials – including wings served with Raspberry Berliner Weisse hot sauce.
And if you’re fan of the old favs that once did the heavy lifting in the permanent range – the likes of Charmer, Camperdown One and Keller Instinct – don’t fret as they’ll still be around in bottles and kegs until they figure out if/when they get the tinnie treatment too.
