The story of Oud Beersel is a remarkable one, as too are the lambics produced by the Belgian brewery.
Founded in 1882 in the town of Beersel, and run by the Vandervelden family for more than 100 years, Oud Beersel produced generations of traditional lambic beers until it fell on hard financial times in 2002.
In 2005, it was revived by lambic enthusiasts Gert Christiaens and Roland De Bus with a mandate to protect and maintain the centuries old art of lambic production.
The wild beer nuts at Odd Culture have managed to get their hands on some exciting casks and rare bottles from the brewery and will be pouring them on June 8.
