Ever wondered if drinking from different shaped beer glasses really makes a difference?
The choice of glass can affect a beer's aroma, flavour, and texture, and enhance your drinking experience. But don't take anyone's word for it – come try it for yourself.
Helios Brewing are giving drinkers the chance to up their glass game by serving three beers in matched style specific glassware from Spiegelau:
- Blood Orange Midas (Golden Ale) - American style wheat beer glass
- Goddess (Red Rye) with Citra - IPA glass
- Kronos (2019 Imperial Stout) - Stout glass
Allan Elder will be there to talk about the glass design and science, and explain each of the glasses to you, while Charlie Hodgson, head brewer at Helios, will run you through the intricacies of the three beers selected (check out a teaser in this video).
Then, at the end of the session, you get to take home the three Spiegelau glasses from the night.
