La Sirène's French Farmhouse Feast at Saccharomyces (QLD)

La Sirène's French Farmhouse Feast at Saccharomyces (QLD)

There are few Australian breweries that occupy a distinctive space in the local beer landscape as La Sirène.

The Alphington-based "urban farmhouse" brewers launched with an eye-catching Saison in equally eye-catching champagne bottles and have never wavered from their path, instead branching out and taking their farmhouse style ales in directions inspired by both old and new world brewing.

From barrel-aged blends to fruit beers, wine hybrids, hoppy farmhouse pales, sessionable sours, 100 percent spontaneously-fermented beers and more, Costa Nikias and team have been steadily garnering a reputation throughout the global beer community as being responsible for something special.

Among their biggest fans are the team at Saccharomyces in Brisbane, and they've enticed Costa back to their bar – along with a heap of his beers – for a French Farmhouse Feast on October 22.

They'll be paired with dishes that allow the venue's chef, Thomas Emblard, to head back to his French roots for the night, creating farmhouse-inspired food.

The night features three courses of food, plus your choice of two tap beers out of the ten on offer and a chance to share in two limited magnums of bottle-fermented beer.

Tickets cost $90pp and can be booked here.
